Cheryl Hayek, Chief Academic Officer

Dr. Cheryl Hayek, Interim University President, Chief Academic Officer and Provost

Dr. Cheryl Hayek, interim University president, chief academic officer and provost for Grantham University, has focused on faculty leadership and student support for the past 20 years. She created the VIP² Faculty Development and Leadership Program and the Swaddled Support Services (SSS) model for adult learners, earning Grantham University the 2011 APSCU Innovative Best Practice/New Program Award. In addition to her university work, Dr. Hayek holds teaching certificates for K-12 and principal eligibility. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English from Montclair State University, a Master of Arts in Education Leadership and Administration from William Paterson University and holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northcentral University.

Steve Waldron, Campus President and Chief Operating Officer

Steve Waldron, JD, Campus President and Chief Operating Officer

Steve Waldron, campus president and chief operating officer, is a retired Marine Corps Colonel with more than 27 years of military service. While in the Marine Corps, he held several command, staff and judge advocate positions, deploying to various combat zones on three occasions. Mr. Waldron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Michigan State University, a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from Marine Corps University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy.


Anthony Schlinsog, Chief Information Officer

Anthony Schlinsog, Chief Information Officer

Anthony Schlinsog, chief information officer (CIO), has been in information technology (IT) – as an analyst, application developer, manager and CIO – for more than two decades. Before joining Grantham, Mr. Schlinsog served as the CIO/CTO for the State of Kansas and prior to that as the CIO for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He has been a contributing author to several IT-related management books, and won an award for IT innovation in government. In addition to a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Andrews University, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Dr. Jeff Cropsey, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations

Dr. Jeff Cropsey, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations

Dr. Jeff Cropsey, vice president for strategic initiatives and government relations, has worked for more than 40 years in positions that range from Army counselor to European command director of the Air Force, director of the Navy College Program worldwide, and director of DANTES prior to his retirement from the Department of Defense (DoD). During his career, he has received five armed services civilian meritorious service awards and the CCME President’s Award for his lifelong contributions to military education. Dr. Cropsey holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

 

Jared Parlette, Vice President of Admissions

Jared Parlette, Vice President of Student Enrollment 

Jared Parlette, vice president of student enrollment, possesses over 10 years of leadership and management experience in areas including admissions, advising, business development and education outreach, as well as over eight years of experience within the field of higher education. Prior to his current executive role, Mr. Parlette served as vice president of admissions and as director of admissions for Grantham University. Mr. Parlette holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Central Missouri, a Master of Science in Performance Improvement from Grantham University and is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Harry Dotson, Vice President of Compliance

Harry Dotson, Vice President of Compliance

Harry Dotson, vice president of compliance, has a deep understanding of the compliance and regulatory issues affecting higher education. Prior to joining Grantham, he ensured compliance with all applicable regulations for a group of 16 schools located in eight states, as well as online. In addition to holding leadership positions in education for almost two decades, Mr. Dotson served as an officer for 20 years in the United States Army. He holds a Master of Science in Adult Occupational and Continuing Education from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Cum Laude) from the University of Texas.

 

Kip Esry, Vice President of Human Resources

Kip Esry, Vice President of Human Resources

Kip Esry, vice president of human resources, has more than 25 years of experience directing people strategies in high-performing organizations. Mr. Esry has held human resources leadership roles for four Fortune 500 organizations and spent 13 years on the Board of the Kansas City Compensation and Benefits Association, serving as that organization’s president in 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources from the University of Kansas.

 

Lily Carpio

Lily Carpio, Chief Financial Officer

Lily Carpio, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has been working in finance and accounting for almost two decades, both in Fortune 500 and privately held companies. Prior to joining Grantham, she spent 10 years as controller and CFO, developing the accounting and financial infrastructure for a successful chemical company. Ms. Carpio earned her MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, both from Columbia University.
