Alverna Champion Ph.D.
Global Faculty Member, Alverna Champion, PhD earned her Doctorate from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA from Wellesley College. She began her teaching career at a junior high school in New York. Over the years she has taught at the various levels from secondary, undergraduate, and graduate schools. Ms. Champion attained the status of full professor with tenure at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At Grand Valley, she taught mathematics, mathematics education, and statistics courses. She has applied her management and consulting skills and training at such companies as General Motors and Michigan Bell and has given presentations nationally and internationally.
