Educational Technologist
Position Description
- Works with Director of Curriculum Development and the Project Manager to coordinate development of new materials for delivery in Educator and to prepare HTML documents for upload into the Educator course management system.
- Notifies Director of Curriculum Development of needed changes to faculty/staff Website information.
- Prepares course content for Educator content management system and loads course content into Educator.
- Collaborates with the Director of Curriculum Development and the Faculty Dean in creating and launching faculty training courses and student orientation courses in the Educator content management system.
- Researches and orders technology-related course materials from educational publishers, and keeps up-to-date on new technology offerings.
- Assists in proofreading course guides for formatting and grammar.
- Creates training modules for the Educator delivery model.
- Makes appropriate corrections to courses, tests, and keys within the online system.
- Maintains and monitors Educator content management system.
- Additional duties as assigned by Director of Curriculum Development.
Required/Preferred Skills and Experience
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products, HTML, Web editing, Internet, and various assessment and content management products.
- Advanced technical skills and intermediate technology troubleshooting skills.
- Professional phone and business writing skills
- Knowledge of distance learning educational model
- Experience in publishing, copy editing (such as magazine), or web design a plus.
