Grantham University Student Goes From GED to MBA While Serving in the Army. Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Benny Kinsey is a strong believer of continuing education -- he earned his General Education Diploma (GED), Bachelor's degree and Master in Business Administration (MBA) while serving in the Army. While attending the Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA), CSM Kinsey completed a Master of Business Administration from Grantham University, an online university specializing in educating working adults.

Illinois Soldier Awarded National Scholarship. While skimming through GX Magazine, Staff Sgt. Tyler Heleine said he was intrigued when he read that Grantham University teamed up with the National Guard publication to offer a four-year scholarship to one National Guard Soldier per state in the United States.

King, a member of Detachment 1, Higher Headquarters, 35th Special Troops Battalion, in Kansas City, has been in the Missouri National Guard for five years. King, who is trained as a cook and deployed to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, said that she joined the Guard for scholarship money.
