Award For Freedom

Support Harry Colmery for the Presidential Medal of Freedom!

Seventy years ago, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed into law the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act of 1944, also known as the G.I. Bill. Since World War II, this G.I Bill has helped more than 20 million American veterans and their families pursue an education, as well as secure low-interest home and business loans.

Without Harry Colmery, the man who wrote the first draft of the Bill, that doesn’t happen. For his service to our veterans and the nation, Grantham University is spearheading the effort to see that Mr. Colmery is posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. We ask you to join us
