POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Student Account Analyst handles the daily transactions associated with account invoicing including auditing the documents and registration for accuracy and maintaining student receivable account records. This is an hourly role located in Lenexa, KS.

 KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update the Student Billing System (Banner)
  • Post student account transactions thoroughly and review for accuracy
  • Assure accurate and timely processing of scholarships
  • Provide requested documents to students and other University departments
  • Process and maintain departmental non-delinquency related student account holds
  • Professional written and verbal communication with students and University staff
  • Foster an atmosphere of teamwork and open communication
  • Support the University Mission
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • High attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Able to maintain confidentiality required
  • Strong, professional customer service skills required
  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Word and Excel required
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cubicle-styled work station environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Language Skills: Able to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports. Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Able to effectively present information to management, staff, and students.
  • Mathematical Skill: Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
