The event took place at the Downtown Kansas City Marriott and honored General David H. Petraeus, US Army, Retired and current Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, for a lifetime of leadership to soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and the Nation.

The Command and General Staff College Foundation, Inc., (CGSCF) is a 501 (C)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit educational foundation that provides resources and support to the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) in the development of tomorrow’s military leaders. The Foundation helps to advance the profession of military art and science by promoting the welfare and enhancing the prestigious educational programs of the CGSC. The curriculum focuses on the conduct of joint and combined warfare and the application of Joint, Interagency, and Multi-National organizations to synchronize all elements of power to achieve national objectives.

Grantham University was founded in 1951 by Donald Grantham, a veteran who initially established a radio license and electronics school for those who served our country in World War II.
