Grantham University Named a 2015 Military Friendly® School

This is the sixth year the school has been added to GI Jobs and Victory Media’s annual list

Lenexa, Kan. — Sep. 23, 2014 —
In 2008, Victory Media and GI Jobs started compiling a list featuring the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that embrace and support our nation’s military students while working to ensure their success both in the classroom and following graduation. For the sixth time since that list originated, Grantham University has been named one of the top Military Friendly® schools.

To determine this year’s list of Military Friendly® schools, Victory Media sent out a survey that captured more than 50 leading practices in supporting military students. The survey was available free of charge to the more than 8,000 schools approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill funding. As in previous years, the 2015 Military Friendly® Schools results were independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP based upon the weightings and methodology developed by Victory Media with input from its independent Academic Advisory Board.

“For over 63 years now, serving our nation’s military members and veterans as they change their lives through the power of education has been Grantham’s ultimate goal,” said Dr. Jeff Cropsey, Grantham University’s vice president for strategic initiatives and external relations. “We are thrilled that Victory Media has continued to recognize us as an industry leader for these efforts.”

Grantham University has been helping military, veterans, first responders, military spouses and working adults achieve their educational goals for more than 63 years. Each year, Grantham offers a number of scholarships to these student populations. To learn more about these opportunities, visit: www.grantham.edu/scholarships/.

 About Military Friendly® Schools:

The Military Friendly® Schools designation process includes extensive research and a data-driven survey of schools nationwide approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill funding. The school survey, methodology, criteria and weightings are developed with the assistance of an independent Academic Advisory Board comprised of educators from schools across the country, and are independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP based upon the weightings and methodology established by Victory Media. The survey is administered for free and open to all post-secondary schools who wish to participate. Criteria for consideration can be found on our website, http://www.militaryfriendly.com, and a complete list of schools can be found through our Schools Matchmaker tool on http://www.gijobs.com.
