Lone Star College and Grantham University Agree to Articulation

This agreement allows students who have completed an associate degree to transfer to a bachelor degree.

Lenexa, Kan. — December 11, 2014 — The saying goes that everything is bigger in Texas. With almost 83,000 students in credit classes, and a total enrollment of more than 95,000, Lone Star College, certainly helps make that saying true.

Thanks to a new articulation agreement with Grantham University, Lone Star College students will have even more opportunities to further their college education once they have completed their associate degrees.

“Lone Star College is dedicated to helping our students succeed,” said Dr. Lynette O’Keefe, Lone Star College Executive Director forEducational Partnerships. “This agreement provides another pathway to a higher education for our students and we are delighted to be a part of it.”

“Getting, saving, and keeping jobs is a paramount concern; so too is tuition, transportation, and living expenses. At Grantham University, our 100% online learning platform gives busy adult students the flexibility to enjoy life, work full-time and still pursue an advanced degree. It’s our shared commitment, flexibility and record of success that has Grantham University willing and eager to explore partnership opportunities with Lone Star College though an articulation agreement,” said Dr. Marilyn Bartels, Grantham University’s Provost.

This articulation agreement is a 2+2 bachelor’s degree completion program. Lone Star College students who have completed any associate degree with at least a 2.0 GPA can transfer into Grantham’s Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies program.
