New Grantham University Program Addresses Upswing in Financial Planning Careers

Grantham University is now offering a Financial Planning – Bachelor of Business Administration.

Lenexa, Kan. – April 20, 2015Grantham University’s Mark Skousen School of Business has added a Financial Planning – Bachelor of Business Administration program to its offering of more than 40 online degrees and certificates. The timing couldn’t be more perfect with employment of personal financial advisors projected to grow 27 percent between 2010 and 2020. (Source: Spring 2012 BLS Career Outlook).

The curriculum encompasses 15 finance related business courses that cover how to analyze a client’s financial status and designing a program in order to achieve their goals. Financial planners can specialize in tax planning, asset allocation, risk management, and retirement and/or estate planning.

 “The financial planning degree program is designed to provide professional education for financial objectives,” Dr. Nicole Buckley, Grantham University’s Mark Skousen School of Business dean said. “Courses have already been approved by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Students that complete Grantham’s financial planning program will have the added benefit of meeting the education requirements for CFP® Certification Examination administered by the CFP Board.”
