Financial Aid Awarding Process

Though rules and regulations surrounding Federal Student Aid (FSA) may seem complex at times, University of Arkansas Grantham strives to make the financial aid awarding process as easy and seamless as possible. Our financial aid specialists are here to help you make informed financial decisions — to ideally save you money in the long term and provide tools for you to manage your budget.

You don't even have to worry about submitting your FAFSA by any priority date! We will accept and process all FAFSA applications for all start dates because none of the funds we offer are based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Since the financial aid determination process can take up to four weeks, your best approach is to start as soon as possible. Here’s how it works:

STEP 1: It’s helpful to know the costs of attending college up front to better determine your overall financial need. So, first we suggest estimating your costs of attending Grantham.

STEP 2: Access and complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The site will direct you through the various steps required.

STEP 3: Complete all required fields, forms and any additional documents necessary, and submit everything through the Financial Services Portal. Since this portal is the primary hub for financial aid processing, you may want to visit it now and then to check your status.

STEP 4: Once your eligibility is determined, you’ll receive a funding plan (by email and posted in the portal) outlining the cost of attendance and eligible funds for the academic year.
