Do I Qualify for FSA?

To determine your eligibility for Federal Student Aid (FSA) at UA Grantham, you must first meet the following criteria:

  • Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA – See video below)
  • Have a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student working toward a degree in an eligible program*
  • Have a valid Social Security Number
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Register with the Selective Service (males, age 18-25)
  • Not in default on a federal student loan or owe repayment of an FSA grant
  • Not convicted under federal or state law of possession or sale of illegal drugs while receiving FSA
  • Provide the Office of Financial Aid any additional requested documentation
  • Notify the Office of Financial Aid of any changes in enrollment status and any additional sources of financial aid received
  • Repay any financial aid received as a result of inaccurate information (any person who intentionally misrepresents facts on the application violates federal law and may be subject to a $20,000 fine and/or imprisonment)
