Tuition and Financial Aid

Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation Program

The Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment VetSuccess Program helps service-disabled veterans obtain suitable employment and enjoy maximum independence. Professional VA counselors help prepare an individual plan, including the services and financial assistance needed to complete an approved program.

Chapter 31 Eligibility

A veteran may be eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31) benefits if he/she:

  • Received or will receive a discharge under other than dishonorable conditions
  • Incurred or aggravated a service-connected disability, which entitles him/her to VA disability compensation
  • Requires vocational rehabilitation due to an employment handicap caused by his/her service-connected disability.

An eligible veteran generally has 12 years from the date he/she received notification of his/her disability rating.  The VA may approve an extension of time and/or length of training in certain cases.
