Scholarship Programs

Grantham University has provided educational opportunities to service members and their families since 1951. We believe that every service member, veteran, and member of a military family should have the opportunity to pursue a college degree. In honor of the men and women who serve in every branch of the United States Armed Forces, Grantham University offers the following military scholarships with our thanks and gratitude.

Military Education Scholarships for Service Members

If you are eligible for Tuition Assistance or DANTES, you may be eligible for Grantham University’s Military Scholarships. Reservists eligible for TA/DANTES may also be eligible for military scholarships. Grantham will evaluate your college and military transcripts in order to apply transfer credits toward your degree program. Military scholarships cover the costs of tuition remaining after TA/DANTES benefits have been applied and include a Textbook and Software Grant that covers the cost of required textbooks and software.

Military Education Scholarships for Family Members

Children and spouses of active duty, guard, reserve personnel and veterans (honorably or medically discharged) may be eligible for the Grantham Military Family Scholarship Program. Eligibility must be determined each semester. Applicants must provide proof of dependent status.

Military Education Scholarships for Veterans

This program is available to provide military education scholarships to veterans of the United States Military. If you have served honorably, you can apply for a veteran’s military education scholarship that will reduce the cost of tuition and includes a Textbook and Software Grant that covers the cost of required textbooks and software.

Military Severely Injured Scholarships

Grantham University is proud to offer Military Severely Injured Scholarships to U.S. service members and to the spouses and children of severely injured service members. Spouses and dependents of severely injured service members qualify for a discounted tuition rate of $250.00 per credit hour under the Military Scholarship for Family Members.

First Responder’s Scholarships

This program is available to provide scholarships to emergency responders. Federal, state and local law enforcement officers; fire fighters; and paramedics may be eligible. The scholarship includes a discounted tuition rate of $250.00 per credit hour and includes a Textbook and Software Grant that covers the cost of required textbooks and software.

Imagine America Foundation Scholarships

Since 2006, Grantham University has supported the Imagine America Foundation’s Military Award Program (MAP), a national aid program that provides a $1,000 career education award to a qualified active duty service member; reservist; honorably discharged or retired veteran of a United States military service branch for attendance at a participating college. This year, Grantham University is committed to funding and awarding fifteen $1,000.00 scholarships. For more information and to apply, visit: http://www.imagine-america.org.
