Best Veterans University, Grantham

Grantham University has had a proud history of serving veterans for over 60 years, and Grantham University topped a 2010 list as a Best University for Veterans in 2010 published by Military Times EDGE. Four thousand institutions submitted information about their veterans programs, and Grantham was chosen as one of the best overall due to military-friendly policies, resources, and veterans programs. Furthermore, Grantham’s convenient online format and constant availability to students helped make the University a number one choice.

Grantham University was founded in 1951 by Donald Grantham, who was himself a veteran of World War II. Donald Grantham’s goal from the beginning was to provide avenues by which veterans could prepare themselves for new jobs and new lives upon their return to the civilian environment. Although the University originally concentrated on electronics and technology industry training, through the years, Grantham has added many courses of study. The college now offers programs as diverse as business administration, nursing, medical billing, information technology, criminal justice, and the list goes on and on. Many successful professionals now get their start or add to their qualifications at Grantham University.

Aside from preparing students for a large number of professional fields, Grantham offers military scholarship programs that reward veterans and service members for their military service. Military family members qualify for assistance as well, and all of the courses are offered completely online. Students are never required to visit a brick and mortar institution or follow an hourly schedule, which is a great benefit to active military personnel and busy civilians alike.
