Partnership leverages Grantham’s track record of mapping education to evolving job market
Lenexa, Kan. – Jan. 20, 2015 – Grantham University’s newest articulation agreement with Concorde Career Colleges is yet another milestone in Grantham’s rich history of simplifying students’ abilities to achieve education and career goals.
In keeping with one of today’s most in-demand job fields – healthcare, the agreement streamlines the process for Concorde graduates to easily transfer associate degree hours into a correlating Grantham online bachelor’s program in multidisciplinary studies, nursing or health systems management.
The partnership is a product of Grantham’s innovative culture and keen focus on understanding students’ needs. Dr. Jennifer Mathes, Concorde’s vice president of academic affairs, views the agreement between the two schools as an opportunity to continue serving graduates after they’ve completed their associate degree. “Our goal is to always do what is best for Concorde’s students, and by partnering with Grantham we are doing just that. The flexibility provided by Grantham’s online courses allows our students to establish their careers while continuing their education in their free-time.”
Through the new articulation agreement, Concorde graduates who have earned any associate degree while maintaining a 2.0 GPA will have the opportunity to transfer into Grantham’s Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies. This unique degree program provides students with the opportunity to tailor their education to match their personal interests and career ambitions.
Other degree program graduates that qualify for 2+2 bachelor’s degree completion include:
- Associate of Applied Sciences in Health Information Management toward Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management
- Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, with an RN license and a minimum 2.5 GPA or permission from the Dean of Nursing, toward Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
“By creating this relationship with Concorde, we look forward to helping students make their mark in the competitive healthcare field. Grantham’s School of Nursing and Allied Health continually keeps up with the latest developments and will be an excellent way for these students continue on to a meaningful career with minimal interference in their daily lives,” said Dr. Marilyn Bartels, Grantham University’s vice president for university partnerships.
Enrollment is now open to qualified Concorde students or graduates. To learn more about Grantham’s 100 percent online degree and certificate programs, visit: http://www.grantham.edu/online-degrees/.
