By Brandon Swenson
Lenexa, KAN. - March 6, 2020 — Grantham University, an online university specializing in educating working adults, is now accepting applications for the Dr. Susan Fairchild Nursing Scholarship for nurses who are ready to take their professional development to the next level.
The Fairchild Nursing Scholarship award is made in honor of the founding dean of the Grantham School of Nursing. Dr. Susan Fairchild, author of two nursing textbooks and a professor of nursing for more than 30 years, came out of retirement to develop the university’s nursing curriculum and lead efforts to obtain accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
It is this university’s honor and privilege to recognize Dr. Fairchild’s vital contribution to the field of nursing education, in general, and to the advancement of Grantham’s own extensive nursing program.
The Fairchild Scholarship, valued up to $2,040, covers the tuition and fees for two courses and can be applied to the university’s undergraduate RN to BSN Degree Completion program or to any of the graduate-level Master of Science in Nursing degree programs.
