Banks will work toward an MBA degree in project management at Grantham University

Falana Banks, Blacks in Government member, is the recipient of full scholarship to Grantham University.

LENEXA, Kan. – August 2, 2016 - Grantham University, a 65-year-old institution delivering accredited online degree programs and certificates to working adults, active-duty military and veterans around the world, has announced Falana Banks as the recipient of a full Blacks in Government (BIG) scholarship to Grantham University. The scholarship is valued up to $38,600.

Ms. Banks has worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Cleveland, Ohio, for 10 years and currently serves as a program analyst. She is the second vice president/membership chairperson for the BIG Lake Erie Chapter and regularly volunteers in her community. “This Grantham University scholarship will assist me in earning my MBA in project management and furthering my career goals to obtain a leadership position within the federal government. I plan to pay forward what I have learned in my career and education to others wishing to do the same,” said Ms. Banks.

The university has also announced a new scholarship opportunity for BIG members valued up to $38,600 (covers tuition, required textbooks, software and fees) to earn an undergraduate or graduate degree. Scholarship applications must be received by November 4, 2016. More information can be found at:
