Grantham University received ACEN accreditation for it's Nursing Programs

LENEXA, Kan. – May 1, 2019 – Grantham University, an online university known for affordable, flexible college education, recently achieved accreditation of its School of Nursing undergraduate and graduate programs by ACEN, the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. All current and future Grantham nursing students benefit from ACEN’s accreditation of the university’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) four concentrations.

Grantham began offering bachelor’s and master’s programs for registered nurses in 2010, followed by its concerted effort to align the content of the nursing programs with ACEN’s high standards of excellence. Leading up to the program’s ACEN accreditation, Grantham’s School of Nursing participated in a rigorous self-study, underwent comprehensive, independent peer review and demonstrated compliance with ACEN’s criteria. While Grantham has been institutionally accredited since 1961, the recent ACEN programmatic accreditation further substantiates the quality education nurses can expect at Grantham.

Cheryl Rules, Ph.D, dean of Grantham’s College of Nursing and Allied Health, said, “With the need for effective, well-qualified nurses continuing to rise, Grantham is pleased to have met  ACEN’s rigorous criteria. The accreditation gives our nursing students the added assurance that they will graduate fully prepared for success in the nursing field.”

In addition to the ACEN accreditation, Grantham also achieved programmatic accreditation by both IACBE (International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education) in 2015 for its business programs and ABET in 2016 for its electronics engineering technology program.
