City of Leavenworth employees can now take advantage of Grantham University’s special tuition rates and credit for prior training.

Lenexa, Kansas (May 31) – Grantham University and the City of Leavenworth (Kansas) have announced a partnership that will enable the city’s employees to pursue their higher education goals, supported by reduced tuition rates, credit for prior learning and other key benefits.

Grantham is a 66-year-old institution delivering accredited online degree programs and certificates to working adults, active-duty military and veterans around the world, while the historic City of Leavenworth, founded in 1854, holds title as the first city in Kansas.

This Civil Service Education Program agreement provides a number of special benefits to City of Leavenworth employees, including:

  • Reduced tuition rates ($250 per credit hour for undergraduate and graduate programs);
  • Review of corporate training and other experience for potential transfer credit;
  • A 90-day tuition deferral program;
  • Education and career fairs, and other events; and
  • Textbooks and software included via a grant
