MALVERN, Pa., March 27, 2008 — Grantham University, an online university specializing in educating working adults, will implement solutions from SunGard Higher Education to help it expand its digital campus and improve online student services, it was announced today by SunGard Higher Education.

"Our mission is to be the leader in online education and a model of academic excellence," said J. Patrick Campbell, president, Grantham University.  "We believe that the implementation of the Banner Unified Digital Campus solutions from SunGard Higher Education will help our organization become more agile, responsive, and effective in helping our learners achieve their goals."

The Banner Unified Digital Campus administrative system from SunGard Higher Education will support business processes to help the University manage its growing enrollment.  In addition, the self-service capabilities provided by Banner will help the institution improve the quality of the learning experience and make it easier for students, faculty, and other constituents to complete administrative tasks online.  For example, students will be able to apply for and accept financial aid online, and the institution will be able to set up business rules to automate the processing of financial aid.  Establishing these rules and processes will also help Grantham University maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
"We are committed to helping our students achieve their dreams of earning an undergraduate or graduate degree," continued President Campbell.  "Implementing these solutions will help us to better manage our business and grow enrollment, while providing an engaging and effective online environment for our students.  We chose to partner with SunGard Higher Education because of its proven commitment to higher education and its vision for the future."

"SunGard Higher Education is pleased to provide Grantham University with tools and service delivery models that help further its interactive and collaborative educational environment, and support life-long learning," said Brian Madocks, president and chief executive officer, SunGard Higher Education.  "The solutions from SunGard Higher Education will help the University deliver a consistently superior student experience while helping to control the cost of education services."
