LENEXA, Kan., September 10, 2018 – Grantham University, a leading online education provider located in Lenexa, Kan., is proud to be affiliated with the Great Plains SPCA as a title sponsor of the 2018 Paws on the Prairie 5K run/walk, Sept. 15, 2018, beginning at 8 a.m. The event will be held on the sprawling prairie at the Warriors’ Best Friend Foundation, located at 10940 NE 104th St. Kansas City, Mo. 64157.

Bring your dog – or come without – for a leisurely jog or a brisk stroll through the scenic 5K course and support the Great Plains SPCA and Warriors’ Best Friend Foundation, a Grantham University corporate partner. You are also invited to stop by the Grantham booth to discuss educational opportunities, as well as the many ways Grantham University supports the Kansas City community.

“Grantham University is always seeking new opportunities to engage with the community,” said Tabitha Davis, Director of University Outreach for Grantham University. “We are so proud to be part of the Kansas City metro area and enjoy finding ways we can enhance and give back to this wonderful community. We’re thrilled to be associated with groups like the Great Plains SPCA and Warriors’ Best Friend Foundation, an organization that works to provide every veteran in need with a service dog. Grantham has always had close ties with the military community, and this is a tremendous way for us to continue to serve those who serve.”

There is still time to sign up for either the 5K without a dog or the 5K with a dog. For more information on the Paws on the Prairie 5K run/walk or the Warriors’ Best Friend Foundation, please visit www.pawsontheprairie5k.org.
