Kansas City, Mo. – May 10, 2011 Grantham University, a 60-year-old institution delivering accredited online degrees to working adult students around the world, is pleased to announce two new partnerships that will help the University hire more veterans.

Grantham University Partners with Veterans Today Network to Hire Veteran EmployeesHireveterans.com and veteranstoday.com now provide information about jobs available at Grantham.

"Working with these sites continues our 60-year tradition of offering our military veterans the tools they need to build a successful life as they transition out of the military," said Dr. Fredrick Snow, president of Grantham University.

"We educate veterans through our accredited online degree programs and now we will be able to more efficiently recruit them to work with us."

There are about 200,000 U.S. veterans who transition from active duty every year. Additionally, there are thousands of veterans, reservists, retirees, guardsmen and military spouses who are looking for new employment opportunities. These prospective employees have the skills, training and experience needed to be successful in almost any industry, including IT, telecom, logistics, security and health care.

"Veterans make excellent employees," Snow said. "They know that success is a result of effort, team work and a commitment to seeing a project through to the finish."

Grantham offers a wide variety of employee benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, vacation, education benefits, ongoing training and career development and planning. Additionally, when an employee is required to report for military service, Grantham provides support with a pay differential to offset any loss of wages.

Both Hireveterans.com and Veterans Today are a part of the Veterans Today Network, which has more than 60 sites serving the U.S. Military-Veterans Community.

Hireveterans.com services thousands of job seekers from the military community – active service members, veterans, DoD civilians, spouses, family members and others. The site offers employers access to resumes and job postings; U.S. veteran job seekers can view the best and most relevant jobs offered by companies both in the U.S. and around the world.

Veterans Today is a journal representing the position of members of the military and veteran community in areas of national security, geopolitical stability and domestic policy.

Grantham University's accredited online degree programs are flexible and portable, allowing students to fit education into their life instead of arranging life around their education. The University offers a variety of associate, bachelor and master's online degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Business Management, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Human Resource Management, Information Systems Security, and Medical Coding and Billing.
