Grantham University’s George Colon Elected to Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Board

Lenexa, Kan., December 30, 2019 — Grantham University, an online university, announced today that its Director of University Outreach, George Colon, has been elected to the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
"We enthusiastically welcome George to the Riverview Chamber board,” said Tanya Doran, executive director. “We have no doubt he will make a tremendous impact on the chamber and the Greater Riverview community.”
Grantham University has been an active member of Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce since 2017. Colon serves on the Military Affairs Committee, which is dedicated to serving and supporting the military in the Greater Riverview community. Colon was selected to join the Board of Directors in 2020, and he will co-chair the Human Resources and Military Affairs committees.
Colon served in the United States Army for 23 years, earning the rank of Master Sergeant, and has worked at Grantham University in various capacities for 15 years.
“I am honored to have been chosen to represent the citizens of the Riverview community,” said Colon. “I look forward to contributing to the chamber’s mission to advance our community.”
Colon, who grew up in Puerto Rico, holds an associate degree in Business Management, two bachelor’s degrees, and a master’s degree in Performance Improvement from Grantham University.
