The two schools will work together to ensure students who wish to transfer to one another have a smooth transition

Lenexa, Kan. — June 24, 2014 — As technology advances, online education opportunities continue to expand, making it easier for working adults to pursue their education in a flexible, convenient way. Grantham University, one of the oldest private postsecondary distance education universities, has recently signed an articulation agreement with Henley-Putnam University. Henley-Putnam specializes in intelligence education with courses including counterintelligence, clandestine communications and terrorism studies.

The articulation agreement will ease the transition of students who wish to continue their education at either university. This will smooth the transfer of credit and help eliminate the need to repeat a course competency that has already been mastered.

“Henley-Putnam is a wonderful institution that focuses primarily on strategic security degrees,” said Dr. Marilyn Bartels, Grantham’s provost. “Like Grantham, they are committed to meeting the educational needs of professionals in law enforcement and the military. Because of this, there is a shared vision and mission of Serving Those Who Serve®.”

“The solid alignment of Grantham’s curriculum, values, standards of excellence, and mission with Henley-Putnam’s makes this articulation a great asset to students,” said Dr. Amy DiMaio, Henley-Putnam’s provost of academics. “Grantham’s commitment to integrity in serving military students speaks to the core of Henley-Putnam’s mission.”

Grantham University has been helping working adults achieve their educational goals for more than 63 years. Grantham offers a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with concentrations in homeland security and computer science, a bachelor’s in information systems security, and a certificate in cybersecurity concepts.
