This agreement streamlines students’ ability to transfer associate degree credit hours to a bachelor’s degree.

Lenexa, Kan. — Dec. 22, 2014 — For nearly 50 years, Manhattan Area Technical College (MATC) has been serving students throughout Kansas who wish to pursue an Associate of Applied Science degree or technical certificates. Thanks to a new articulation agreement with Grantham University (a 100% online university soon to celebrate its 64th birthday), MATC students will have more opportunities to further their college education after completing their associate degrees.

“Manhattan Area Technical College’s mission is to provide a quality education for our students, while preparing them to pursue technologically advanced careers,” said Marilyn Mahan, MATC’s vice president of instructional affairs. “By articulating with Grantham, we are helping our graduates become even more competitive in the job market by taking their education to the next level.”

“We are grateful to have found a school as passionate about their student population as we are. Manhattan Area Technical College’s mission and values line up well with Grantham’s, so students who have graduated from MATC and choose to pursue their bachelor’s degree with us will experience the same level of support that they came to know and love during their associate degree,” said Dr. Marilyn Bartels, Grantham’s vice president of university partnerships.

This articulation agreement is a 2+2 bachelor’s degree completion program. MATC students who have completed any associate degree, with the exception of nursing students, with at least a 2.0 GPA can transfer into Grantham’s Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies program. Additionally, students who have earned their degrees in the following areas can transfer into a corresponding bachelor’s degree at Grantham:
