Kansas City, Mo. — August 26, 2009 — Grantham University announced today that Ms. Rhonda Corwin, current Business Professor and Interim Dean at the University, has been appointed to the position of Dean for the Mark Skousen School of Business. Ms. Corwin's credentials include a baccalaureate degree in Management in Human Relations and a Master of Business Administration, both from Mid-America Nazarene University.
"I am very excited to continue my career with a University whose primary focus is student success," said Ms. Corwin. "Not only do Grantham's online programs meet the educational needs of students wherever they are in the world, but the University supports and encourages its students through academic advising, tutoring and mentoring."
Ms. Corwin's business background includes eight years with Sprint Corporation serving as an Educational Consultant and Instructional Designer; facilitating Franklin Covey training nationwide with DST Corporate Training; and also serving as a licensed mutual fund provider with American Century.
"Since joining Grantham University's staff earlier this year, Rhonda has shown tremendous initiative and care in improving instructional processes, supporting faculty in their teaching and learning roles, and providing academic support and assistance to all staff at Grantham University," said Dr. John LaNear, President of Grantham University.
Grantham University's Mark Skousen School of Business, named for Dr. Mark Skousen, a noted economist, professor, financial advisor, and author, provides students with the opportunity to experience Dr. Skousen's unique blend of applied and theoretical courses in business, finance, and economics. Programs of study include: undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration and Business Management and three Master of Business Administration degrees.
