Online Opportunities

Depending on where you live or where you’re stationed, you may not have access to a physical campus that offers the degree program or classes you’re wanting to pursue. Plus, the time traditional programs require often don’t provide enough flexibility for someone actively serving or taking care of a military family. That’s what makes online education such a great option for military and military-affiliated students—the ability to choose from a wide selection of programs and earn a degree from the convenience of wherever you are. Grantham University offers more than 60 exclusively online programs across disciplines like engineering, nursing, criminal justice and more.

Flexible Classes

Most Grantham University courses last just eight weeks, and many start on a monthly basis. Because there are no set class times, students can view lectures and complete assignments early in the morning, late at night, or whenever is convenient. Students can also easily connect with teachers and other students using the university’s robust learning management system.

At Grantham, active duty students enjoy flexible deployment policies that allow them to put their program on hold when needed. Veterans and military spouses are able to learn new skills while maintaining employment or fulfilling life’s other obligations. There’s no need to ever visit a campus, so relocation and commuting are never an issue.

Accreditation Matters

In addition to cost and program availability, it’s important to consider credentials when choosing an online university. Accreditation demonstrates the academic quality of an institution’s programs and ensures that you’ll be getting a legitimate education. Grantham University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), and holds several programmatic accreditations from bodies like the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Learn more about our accreditations here.

What You’ll Need

All online students should have a Windows or Mac operating system on a modern laptop or desktop computer, as well as high-speed internet access. Once you have these—plus the discipline and drive needed to succeed—you could be ready to start your program.
