Imagine America Foundation Scholarship

In 2006, Grantham University first supported the Imagine America Foundation’s (IAF) scholarship programs. We have now successfully partnered with the IAF for eight years and awarded more than 120 scholarships to deserving students.

One of these opportunities, the Military Award Program (MAP), is a national aid program that provides a $1,000 scholarship to a qualified active duty service member; reservist; honorably discharged or retired veteran of a United States military service branch. The recipients of MAP must plan to attend a college participating in the IAF programs. This year, Grantham University is committed to funding and awarding 15, $1,000.00 scholarships through this program.

The University also participates in IAF’s Adult Skills Education Program (ASEP), a national aid program established in 2009 to provide students with a $1,000.00 grant to the participating college of his or her choice. This year Grantham is committed to funding and awarding two, $1,000.00 scholarships through this program.

How It Works

For eligibility requirements and to apply, visit: After an application has been submitted, applicants will be contacted by a representative from Grantham University. The University’s scholarship committee reviews applications once per quarter, and contact typically occurs in October, January, April and June of each year. Applicants will receive further instructions needed to complete the application process, which includes writing an essay on why the applicant should be selected to receive the scholarship, and what he or she plans to accomplish by pursuing a college degree. The applications and essays are reviewed by the University’s scholarship committee and awards are made.

If you have additional questions in regards to the MAP or ASEP scholarship opportunities, call 1-888-947-2684 or email

NOTE: The scholarship will only cover the cost of tuition and fees for courses completed at Grantham University. The Grantham University Scholarship Committee reserves the right not to award the scholarship if there is not a qualified applicant. Recipients must utilize the scholarship within a year of the award date and sign a Scholarship Notification Form within 30 days of award date.
