Veterans Scholarship Education Assistance for Military Veterans

Please note that for terms starting on or after March 13, 2019 the Grantham University Heroes Program will replace the following programs for all students:

  • Military Scholarship for Service Members
  • Military Scholarship for Family Members
  • Veterans Scholarship
  • First Responders and Civil Servants Scholarship
  • Textbook and Software Grant

To show our appreciation and to honor those who serve our countries and our communities, Grantham University offers the Heroes program to ensure the costs of education remain affordable for these individuals.

Students who qualify will receive the following benefits:

  • Tuition Rate of $250 per credit hour (Undergraduate and Graduate)
  • Resource Fee waiver for each course

Eligibility will be determined by the Financial Aid Office at the time of admission to the university and will continue as long as the student remains enrolled.

Eligibility requirements:
  • Applicants must meet Grantham University's minimum admissions requirements.
  • Applicants must meet any special program admissions requirements.
  • Applicants must be at least one of the following:
    • A U.S. active-duty service member, reservist, National Guard member or other military service member;
    • A U.S. honorable, general under honorable or medically discharged veteran;
    • A dependent or spouse of a U.S. active-duty service member reservist, National Guard member or veteran (honorably, generally or medically discharged); or
    • A U.S. emergency first responder, including federal, state and local law enforcement personnel, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians and paramedics;
    • A U.S. civil servant at the federal, state, county, and/or local level.

We are grateful to those who have honorably served our country. To express that gratitude, Grantham University's Veterans Scholarship offers a qualified student with a $15 per credit hour scholarship for undergraduate and $75 scholarship per credit hour for graduate degrees. Eligible students may also qualify for the Textbook and Software Grant.

Scholarship Eligibility

Veterans of any of the United States Armed Services may be eligible for the scholarship. Additionally, you must:

  • Have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Provide a copy of DD Form 214 or your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) reflecting an Honorable or Medical Discharge.
