In addition to business fundamentals, students learn how to solve problems in support of organizational goals, develop human capital to improve overall performance as well as analyze and update the human resource policies in place.
Curriculum for this concentration fully aligns with the Human Resource Curriculum Guidebook and Templates of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM®), the world’s largest professional association dedicated to human resources management, and is widely regarded as the gold standard of best practices in the field. To that end, our faculty were chosen for their expertise and experience in human resource management and related specialties. UA Grantham students are also highly encouraged to participate in the university’s student SHRM chapter, and all coursework is focused on standards set by SHRM and evolving workplace policies within the field are all rooted in evidence-based best practices. This ensures our students leave the programs with the latest practical guidance for managing human resources in a real-world setting and hone practices that can be applied in a variety of diverse organizational contexts.
