The agreement enables greater choice and flexibility for students of both universities.

Lenexa, Kan. – May 23, 2017 – Grantham University, a 66-year-old institution delivering accredited online degree programs to students around the world, is proud to announce the recently signed articulation agreement with the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI), a regionally accredited institution with 2,500 students and 47 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

“This agreement is a celebration of two academic institutions with a shared focus on quality, rigorous coursework and accountability of solid program outcomes,” said Dr. Cheryl Hayek, Grantham University Interim University President. “We are thrilled to partner with UVI and help them expand their reach and breadth of academic offerings through robust online courses.”

This reciprocal articulation agreement allows the transfer of academic credits for undergraduate and graduate degrees seamlessly between the two schools, embracing the principle that transfer students should not be required to repeat competencies already achieved. This agreement also allows acceptance of Grantham’s conferred master’s degrees for continuation into UVI’s PhD programs.

“Our partnership with Grantham University is a wonderful educational opportunity for both UVI and Grantham students,” said Dr. David Hall, UVI President. “The two universities are an ideal complement to one another, and with this agreement, can jointly help ensure students’ future success by providing rigorous and accessible programs at all levels, from bachelor’s to the Ph.D.  These programs are suitable for students with constrained schedules, and provide an opportunity for intellectual and professional growth.”
