Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA)

LENEXA, Kan. October 18, 2019 — In 2015, online education pioneer Grantham University entered into an educational partnership with Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA), a not-for-profit organ and tissue recovery agency. The partnership, which provides a number of educational benefits to LOPA members and their spouses and qualifying dependents, has recently been renewed.

Under the agreement, LOPA members and their qualified family members can take advantage of: reduced tuition for Grantham’s more than 50 undergraduate- and graduate-level degree and certificate programs; waived textbook, software and technology fees as part of Grantham's First Responder/Civil Service "Heroes" program; a complimentary Prior Learning Assessment; a complimentary professional development session valued at $2,250; and a $0-down, 90-day tuition deferral program.

"We're proud to partner with an organization that works to literally save lives through organ donations and transplants," said Tabitha Davis, Grantham University's director of university outreach. "Opportunity for advanced education allows these members to better serve the Louisiana community while fulfilling their own personal career goals."

This partnership is one of more than 50 similar programs that Grantham has engaged in. Those agreements have been formed with various corporations, associations, colleges and community organizations in the region and across the nation.

"Grantham's online convenience is ideal for LOPA members and all working professionals who want to pursue a higher education but need a more flexible scheduling option," said Davis. "We also offer 24/7 tutoring and dedicated support to help ensure their success through graduation and beyond."
