We further simplify matters with one resource fee that covers all your textbooks and technology fees. And if you’re eligible for Grantham’s Heroes Program, your cost of education goes down even further.

2Grantham University's Resource Fee covers the cost of the following:
- Student Advisor services, including after-hours and weekend support
- Textbooks and/or e-books
- Supplies, kits and other required materials outlined in the course syllabus
- Microsoft Office student license
- Teaching and Learning Center, including access to Tutor.com services
- Materials accessible through the Library Resource Center
- Services for required proctored examinations
- Career Services, including the Career Launch program
Textbook Fee Opt Out
While the Resource Fee is nonrefundable, students may elect to opt out of the textbooks and/or e-books that are provided for each course*. Students electing to opt out will receive a credit of $50 per course on their student account. Students who opt out are still responsible for procuring applicable course materials. Required textbook and material information can be found by going to the University Bookstore.
*Certain courses are not eligible for opt out based on required course materials.
Students in the MAA Program are required to meet certain requirements for enrollment and graduation that will incur costs not covered by the Resource Fee.
A Chromebook/laptop/desktop PC or tablet is required for all students in the MAA certificate program. Students have the ability to purchase a qualifying Chromebook through Grantham University. The cost of the Chromebook is NOT included in the resource fee; however, Student Financial Services (SFS) can provide payment options available under the student’s funding model. Grantham will not offer any technical support for the Chromebooks sold through the University.* Students should also note that Chromebooks are not compatible with all Grantham University programs. Students will not be allowed to enroll in the MAA Certificate program without providing verification of either: (A) purchase of the Chromebook through the Grantham University Bookstore or (B) proof of possession of equipment such as a laptop, desktop PC or tablet.

Additionally, students in the MAA Program must register for and complete the Medical Administrative Assistant Certification Exam. This includes finding a local testing site, making travel arrangements to the testing site and sitting in-person for the exam. The cost of the exam is covered by the Resource Fee; however, related expenses (childcare, travel, etc.) are not covered by the Resource Fee and are the sole responsibility of the student. Students who do not register for and complete the exam will not graduate.

Grantham University proudly continues our long-held tradition of serving those who keep our country and communities safe. We believe all heroes deserve to maximize their education and their lives. So, for all military ranks and branches, first responders, and the heroic wives, husbands and children who make sacrifices, too, our Heroes Program puts quality online education – and exciting, fulfilling futures – well within reach.
To lower your cost of education, the program offers a special Hero tuition of $250 per credit hour (for both undergraduate and graduate programs!), plus complimentary textbooks and software, and no technology fees. Grantham further reduces your out-of-pocket expense through scholarship opportunities and credit for military training, experience and prior college coursework. With transfer credit for knowledge you already have, you’ll minimize both your time to graduation and your cost in getting there.

Heroes Program Eligibility
Eligibility for the Grantham Heroes program will be determined by the Financial Aid Office at the time of admission to the university and will continue as long as the student remains enrolled.
