Dr. Mark Skousen Presents “Dollars and Sense” Webinar Series

Three-part Webinar series discusses business practices and the economy

Kansas City, Mo. – September 7, 2011 – Dr. Mark Skousen, Honorary Dean of Grantham University’s Mark Skousen School of Business, a professional economist, financial advisor and author of more than 25 books, will host a three-part Webinar series discussing business practices and the economy. Skousen will be joined by Niccole Buckley, Dean of the School of Business.

The Webinar series will focus on topics such as: how business churns the economy; the proper balance between consumption, savings and investing; and the foundations of education and business.

In addition to contributing to the business school curriculum at Grantham, Skousen has taught economics and finance at Columbia Business School, Columbia University, Barnard College, Mercy College and Rollins College. Since 1980, he has been the editor in chief of the award-winning Forecasts & Strategies. He is also the editor of three weekly trading advisory services: Hedge Fund Trader, High-Income Trader, and Turnaround Trader. He is the producer of FreedomFest, an annual gathering of individualists, and was a former economic analyst to the CIA.

According to 2010 statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, high school graduates are facing an unemployment rate of 10.3 percent, while bachelor’s degree recipients have an unemployment rate of just 5.4 percent. These statistics show the importance that a college degree has in the marketplace.
