Grantham University partnering with Military Makeover to transform lives

At Grantham University, we have a 67-year history of serving those who serve. It’s our longstanding commitment to giving back that led to Grantham’s partnership with the TV show Military Makeover to assist a Gold Star Family, the Ewings.

During a three-episode series, family member Bianca Avery is awarded a full-tuition scholarship to Grantham. In addition, University representatives and its mascot, Talon, help with the renovation of the Ewing family home.

The Avery Family
As a Gold Star Family, the Ewings have sacrificed more for their country than most. Hilda and Arthur Ewing’s eldest son, Army Private First Class Jeremy Ricardo Ewing, 22, was killed in action in 2004. Their youngest son, Jermaine, was honorably discharged after sustaining an injury during boot camp. And, their daughter Bianca’s husband is currently on active duty in the Navy.

The Series Airs throughout March!
Military Makeover will share the family’s story over a three-part series airing on Lifetime TV on the following Fridays at 7:30 a.m., Eastern Standard Time:

The show focuses on the Ewings’ history and needs, Bianca’s dream of starting her own business, and the renovation and reveal of their home. We invite you to watch the series in its entirety and learn how Grantham and Military Makeover teamed together to support this deserving Gold Star Family.
